Fury Pro Grappling 9 took place on April 4th, 2024 and there were plenty of exciting matches throughout the night’s results. The promotion put together a solid card with some fun matches and they utilized a golden-score overtime period to determine a winner after the regulation time expired. If neither competitor could score points in the two-minute overtime round then the match would be ruled a draw instead. There was actually only a single submission finish in the end, and that came in one of the last matches of the card when UFC veteran Miguel Baeza locked up an armbar against Guilherme Neves.
Baeza wasn’t the only UFC fighter on the card, and there were actually several grapplers with MMA experience competing. Jimmy Flick was competing in the co-main event of the evening, although he ended up fighting Marcelo Cohen to a draw in the end. The main event then featured Charles Radtke, who was coming in with a lot of momentum after winning his first two UFC fights in a row. Radtke took on fellow UFC veteran Eryk Anders, who competes at a higher weight class than he does. In the end it was Anders who managed to win as he secured the first points in the overtime round, emerging victorious in a tough match.
