Polaris 22 is set to feature a Middleweight Grand Prix as the main attraction, with eight elite grapplers battling it out for the promotion’s vacant Middleweight title. Alongside the tournament, the main card will also feature a superfight between the promotion’s triple-weight champion Ashley Williams and former top UFC welterweight competitor Carlos Condit. The full lineup for the Middleweight grand prix has also been revealed, with the eight contenders scheduled to compete at Polaris 22 all having a great chance of making it to the final of the event.
Shane Fishman is the name that is likely newest to fans, seeing as he won his place in the tournament the hard way by emerging victorious on an instalment of Polaris Contenders. He will be joined by several exciting veterans of ADCC 2022 like Roberto Jimenez, Owen Livesey, Izaak Michell, and Oliver Taza. One of the biggest Polaris fan-favourites, Jed Hue, will also be attempting to take the Middleweight title home, as will his old foe from Polaris Squads 3, Hunter Colvin. Rounding out the eight-man grand prix is Nick Ronan, a BJJ black belt under Matt Serra and long-time wrestler who is just as likely as the rest of the field to win all three of his matches at the event.
