Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds Team Duel is a brand new style of event from one of Eddie Bravo’s most popular promotions and the event is set to take place on December 18th. It will feature four teams of five elite grapplers who will each represent a top competitive team, and they will be battling it out in a tournament to determine which team gets to take home the grand prize of $50,000. Elsewhere on the card, Urijah Faber will be taking on the Combat Jiu-Jitsu bantamweight world champion Elias Anderson in an excellent superfight.
There are a number of notable names competing at the event with B-Team Jiu-Jitsu being led by ADCC 2022 veteran Ethan Crelinsten and an alternate for the same event, Damien Anderson. 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu have also managed to put together a stacked team with Nathan Orchard and Ben Eddy both in attendance. Team Alpha Male are fielding a team of five MMA fighters with both Song Yadong and Michinori Tanaka being UFC veterans. Combat Jiu-Jitsu Mexico on the other hand have plenty of experience under the ruleset, like Mike Diaz and Fito Rubio.
There’s also plenty of exciting fresh talent competing at the event and a lot of eyes will be no doubt be on 10th Planet’s Jordan Wirth, B-Team’s Dorian Olivarez, TAM’s Isaac Thomson, CJJ Mexico’s Erike Souza, and several others across the teams. The Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds Team Duel will no doubt be an exciting night of action from start to finish, right up until the first team champions are crowned.
