Pit Submission Series 10 is scheduled for December 19th, 2024 and the promotion has put together a pair of excellent matches for the lineup. This will be one of the few times that grappling wing of Karate Combat has put on less than three matches in one event, as there will be just two clashes between elite competitors at their tenth event. Both of the matches feature ADCC veterans though, so the level of grappling on display is going to be through the roof. With the use of Karate Combat’s patented pit, there will be plenty of action when they hit the mats.
The first match on the card features elite Brazilian competitor Alexandre De Jesus and although he went out in the opening round of ADCC 2024, De Jesus has already bounced back to prove that he belongs at that level. Just a matter of days before he steps into the Karate Combat pit for the first time, he won the middleweight division of the IBJJF No Gi World Championship 2024. That means that he’ll be coming in to this match as the favorite but things definitely won’t be easy for him, as he will have to beat the incredibly talented young prospect Michael Sainz.
The main event of Pit Submission Series 10 actually features two competitors from ADCC 2024, although they were actually invited to different weight classes. The lighter of the two men will be Daishi Goto, as he actually made his debut in the under 99kg division at ADCC 2024. Goto is a fantastic competitor in his own right but he has a very tough opponent here, as he’s been matched against Roosevelt Sousa. Not only did Sousa get one match further than Goto in a heavier weight class at over 99kg, but he’s also coming in to this straight off a bronze medal at ultra-heavyweight at the IBJJF No Gi World Championship.
