Pit Submission Series 4 will take place on April 20th, 2024 and the promotion has just announced the full card of 3 matches that have been scheduled. The event will be taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and the first matchup will feature two of the best grapplers to come out of the Middle East in recent years. Zayed Alkatheeri will be fighting in front of his home crowd and the UAE competitor has already reached an incredibly high level in his career. He became the first UAE athlete to win an IBJJF major at black belt just last year and now he will face one of the toughest challenges of his career so far in the first Saudi Arabian IBJJF No Gi world champion Osamah Almarwai.
The second match of the night will see the promotional debut of Kaynan Duarte, one of the top grapplers on the planet both in gi and no gi competition. He will be facing Pouya Rahmani, an Iranian MMA fighter who embarked upon his professional career last year and has already racked up a 2-0 record with two finishes in the first round. Rahmani also put on an impressive performance at ADXC 2, where he won a unanimous decision over fellow MMA veteran Denzel Freeman. Duarte is obviously the heavy favorite for this match thanks to his elite grappling, but Rahmani might be able to make better use of the pit walls given his MMA experience.
The main event of the Pit Submission Series 4 card will feature the return of Craig Jones, the only grappler with experience in the pit as he submitted Philip Rowe at their second event. He will be facing off against another UFC veteran, top Russian welterweight Rinat Fakhretdinov. Not only does Fakhretdinov hold an impressive 21-1-1 professional MMA record with several submission wins, but he also recently won his professional grappling debut. He actually competed at ADXC 2 alongside Rahmani, and he won a unanimous decision against three-time Bellator world champion Douglas Lima.
