Finishers: Fall Classic is scheduled for October 18th, 2025 and the promotion has just announced that the card will be topped by four title-fights. There’s a handful of other matches taking place beforehand and each one will follow the original Craig Jones Invitational ruleset. The title-fights will do the same, and the promotion is potentially going to see almost half their divisions rules by new champions at the end of them. There’s only one women’s title on the line and it’s thanks to Marissa Pacelli vacating the under 155lbs belt, so now Madeleine Avila and Sharon Meguira are going to battle it out to become the new champion.
Both Avila and Meguira are Finishers veterans and now they have a huge opportunity to become a champion, which will undoubtedly only lead to bigger matchups in the future. The other three title-fights are in men’s divisions, starting with an exciting 185lbs battle between Rene Sousa and Nick Willey. This is an interim title as Sean Yadimarco is unable to make the date, and the winner will book their place opposite the reigning champion at a future event. This one in particular is a very interesting stylistic matchup, as Sousa is one of the world’s top buggy choke masters and Willey is a well-rounded veteran with a high finishing-rate.
Nick Digiacomo will then be defending the under 145lbs title he won at Finishers: Summer Bash 4 just a few months ago; and he faces a tough challenge from an incredibly talented 14 year-old prodigy, Joshua Flores. The final title-fight of the night is taking place at under 205lbs, where Sergio Vilas is the reigning champion right now. Matt Cantwell is the man who will be attempting to dethrone Vilas, and the former amateur MMA fighter has become an excellent grappler that will be a real threat here. It’s impossible to predict who out of these 8 competitors is going to leave with a belt around their waist, but it’s definitely going to be fun finding out.
