Finishers: Heatwave took place on June 14th, 2025 and the promotion continued their mission to be at the forefront of the sport by using the Craig Jones Invitational judging criteria. The change in format is clearly working well too, as only 3 matches went to a decision and even they were entertaining. There were several slick finishes but the most impressive the night actually came in the first of three title-fights that headlined the card. That was when Kyle Myers found himself in bottom half-guard and managed to snake his outside leg over his opponent’s arm to lock up a gogoplata to force the tap.
Myers won the interim light-heavyweight title with that submission and he now has a date with the champion next. After that crazy finish, it was time for the co-main event of the evening and Eric Naples was once again putting his flyweight title on the line. He won all 3 rounds on every judge’s scorecards and once again left the mats with the belt around his waist. The main event saw talented young grappler Pat Shahgholi defending his heavyweight belt and he also managed to run away with the match across all three rounds, earning the unanimous decision win over Edmir Sokoli.
