Fight 2 Win 220 delivered some exciting results on February 4th, 2023 with an event headlined by Oliver Taza and Ben Eddy. Because the show took place in Austin, Texas, Taza wasn’t the only representative of New Wave Jiu-Jitsu competing on the night and several younger members of the team were also featured on the card. A lot of attention was placed on Davis Asare after news broke that he became the first person to choke Gordon Ryan unconscious in training, and he didn’t disappoint as he won his match with a heelhook.
The co-main event then saw one of the newest additions to New Wave Jiu-Jitsu, Helena Crevar, take to the stage against Tatina Krawec. Crevar won in impressive fashion as always, submitting Krawec with a rear-naked choke and reminding everyone why she’s one of the top prospects in the sport. When time came for the main event, Oliver Taza continued his team’s winning streak throughout the night as he finished popular 10th Planet black belt Ben Eddy with a heelhook.
