Fight 2 Win 168 saw the promotion return to something they only started trying this year as they put on yet another all-female event, their third in just under two months. After the success of their first attempt back at F2W 162, it’s clear that the decision to host events geared specifically towards promoting female grappling must’ve been a good one. Their second edition of the all-female fight nights took place at the end of February then with F2W 165, where Elisabeth Clay became the promotion’s Welterweight champion in the main event.
Her opponent, Maria Malyjasiak, returned at this event and managed to right the ship with a victory over a vastly more experienced competitor in the legendary ADCC double champion Hannette Staack. The co-main event then saw Luiza Monteiro also return from F2W 165, extending her winning streak with a beautiful kneebar finish of Vedha Toscano. The headline match was between Nathiely De Jesus and Kendall Reusing, where De Jesus finished her opponent with a choke to solidify one of the best starts to a competitive year anyone has had, after she became the first woman to defeat Gabi Garcia for the second time last month.
