Polaris 29 is scheduled for September 7th, 2024 and the promotion has just announced a series of amazing superfights for the event. Art of Jiu-Jitsu in particular are going to be pretty heavily represented at Polaris 29, with two of their top young stars featured on the main card. Tainan Dalpra will be leading the way for AOJ against one of the most entertaining grapplers on the European circuit, Max Lindblad. Dalpra will be joined by his teammate Cole Abate; who will be taking on one of the breakthrough competitors from the under 66kg division at ADCC 2022, Ireland’s Sam McNally, in his superfight.
Although these will be two of the most interesting superfights taking place at Polaris 29, there’s plenty more to look forward to as well. One of the top gi competitors in the world, Fellipe Andrew, will be facing a very tough challenge from Arya Esfandmaz. Although this will almost certainly be an exciting match, a lot of attention will probably be on another matchup that features one of the wildest grapplers in the world. Jacob Rodriguez will be bringing his crazy pace against Mohammed Avtarhanov, who is a brown belt and one of the top prospects training at SBG Ireland.
The final match that has been announced for the main card at Polaris 29 will see one of the promotion’s fan-favorite grapplers taking on a whole new challenge. Jed Hue has won more matches on the Polaris mats than anyone else and now he’s moving down to a whole new weight class. He isn’t taking an easy match in his first appearance in a lower weight class than welterweight though, as he is up against one of the best grapplers to ever emerge from Costa Rica; Julian Espinosa.
