Spokane Submission Challenge 9 is scheduled for September 30th, 2023 and the promotion has managed to book some great matches for the event. There’s an open tournament taking place during the day, but the biggest attraction takes place later in the evening when the professional competitors take to the mats. The whole event has been put together by a non-profit organization in order to raise money for underprivileged kids and they’ve done a fantastic job of attracting top talent. With the quality of grappling on display, it’s no doubt that the promotion will be able to raise a fair amount of money for the cause.
The main event is an exciting one, as ADCC veteran Mason Fowler is facing off against one of the most popular local competitors in Tanner Weisgram. The co-main event will feature another pair of top grapplers too, as Amanda Loewen is stepping on the mats to face Thamara Ferreira. Fowler and Ferreira aren’t the only members of Caio Terra Academy competing at Spokane Submission Challenge 9 either. Elias Anderson, Benji Silva, Edward Hohl, and Troy Ibenez are all coming down with them and they’ll no doubt all be putting in some fantastic work on the mats.
There are several other matches leading up to that and although the promotion hasn’t yet confirmed the exact running order and matchups, they have announced some of the athletes. Alex Larmey and Breno Bittencourt are both competing at the event, alongside many other exciting grapplers. One of the most notable names in attendance is UFC veteran Juliana Miller, who has had a fair bit of experience competing in professional grappling matches in the past.
