The full lineup for Kairos Pro Jiu-Jitsu 3 has just been announced, and there are 10 high-level competitors booked for the under 66kg division on November 16th, 2025. This is actually the first time that the promotion has put together a men’s division and they’ve done a great job of mixing established veterans with rising young stars. In fact, one of the most well-respected UK grapplers with years of experience at the highest level has been invited to compete. That man is Dominic Dillon, a former MMA fighter and Catch Wrestling world champion who has competed on pretty much every major stage in the country over the last decade.
Dillon isn’t the only veteran black belt in the tournament though, as Tommy Yip and Dutch grappler Daniel De Groot are also both competing. Yip and De Groot are actually the only men who’ve been here before, as they competed against one another in a superfight at Kairos 2; which De Groot won by decision. Charalampos Vlachothanasis is also coming all the way from Athens, Greece to test himself in the UK for the very first time. He’s a black belt masters competitor who has already won the IBJJF No Gi European Championship at that level, beating out some serious talent to do so.
Sam Gibbs is the other veteran black belt in the lineup, and he’s a two-time ADCC national champion alongside being a Polaris veteran. William Timmis is also a black belt but is a little newer to competing at that level, as he was promoted a little over a year ago. Timmis is a very experienced MMA fighter though, having had 14 amateur fights over the last decade. The final four men rounding out the lineup at Kairos 3 are all colored belt competitors, but they’re all among the biggest prospects in the UK right now and they will all be out to make a big impact.
Chief among them is Finn Carey, a Welsh brown belt who has already had some solid runs at ADCC Trials despite being just 22 years old. Then there’s three teenage purple belts, starting with 19 year-old IBJJF major medalist Matyas Jonas from Total BJJ Nottingham. Isa Rahman is just 18 years old and is already considered one of the most promising gi specialists in the UK, while 17 year-old Yaseen Morris is the youngest man in the bracket and incredibly well-rounded. With £2,500 on the line for the winner of the tournament, it’s safe to say that all 10 grapplers are going to be giving it everything they have to walk away with the title.
The most interesting aspect of Kairos 3 is the unique format that they use though. The competitors will be divided into two groups of 5 who will compete in a round-robin tournament, before the winners of each group face each other in the final. That combined with their practice of flipping a coin to determine whether each match will be gi or no gi will present everyone with different challenges, and may actually end up favoring some of the younger competitors. The eventual winner will have to be well-rounded and capable of succeeding across 5 tough matches in both gi and no gi, making it very tough to predict the outcome.
The full Kairos Pro Jiu-Jitsu 3 live event, including all of the competitors in the above lineup, will be available to watch live on November 16th, 2025 on the official YouTube channel of Escapology BJJ.
