Dillon Danis has caught social media by storm once again as the BJJ and MMA competitor has gotten involved in a parking lot brawl at the weigh-ins for the MF x DAZN: X Series 3 event. Danis was originally best known as a grappler when he came up under Marcelo Garcia in New York and excited fans of the sport with some of his performances as a brown belt. As a black belt he was a two-time ADCC veteran and actually won double gold at the IBJJF no gi pans in 2016, the same year that he was brought in by Conor McGregor as his grappling coach.
That transition led to Danis becoming increasingly vocal on social media and eventually Marcelo Garcia actually severed ties with him as a result. Danis also transitioned away from pure grappling competition in 2017 and was signed by Bellator to make his MMA debut the following year instead. He did manage to get two wins in the Bellator cage, one each in both 2018 and 2019, but has not fought at all since then. During his time away from professional competition, Danis has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons after being arrested outside a New Jersey nightclub.
He’s been teasing a potential return to grappling by calling out Khabib Nurmagomedov, but nothing came to fruition as the UFC Hall of Famer is completely retired from combat sports. Danis moved on from that idea pretty quickly and has instead been talking about leaving grappling behind entirely in order to make his boxing debut against Jake Paul. Now it seems as though Danis may be laying the foundations for that after appearing at the weigh-ins for MF x DAZN: X Series 3, the latest boxing card in a series of influencer and YouTuber-focused events.
The fight card is headlined by a fight between former UFC Heavyweight competitor Greg Hardy and Hashim Rahman Jr, and the co-promoter Misfit Boxing is actually run by popular YouTuber KSI. Dillon Danis arrived at the event and appeared to challenge KSI, initiating a brawl inside the building before leaving for the parking lot afterward. While this is hardly the first time that Danis has got involved in an altercation at a combat sports event, this is one of the few occasions where footage is actually readily available:

The parking lot is where the action continued though, as one of Jake Paul’s training partners, Anthony Taylor, also got into a brawl with Dillon Danis. This clash was also caught on camera and the footage was uploaded to the official Twitter account of IFL TV:
