The very first edition of ADCC Trials in 2025 has now been set, with both the dates and location for the event being announced. This is exciting news for fans and competitors alike, because it means that the build-up for ADCC 2026 has officially about to begin. It’s the world’s most prestigious no gi grappling tournament and although there’s still a long way to go before the grand finale, it all starts with ADCC Trials. There is only one way to guarantee yourself an invite to ADCC, and that’s to win one of the eight qualifying events that take place around the world.
The other half of each division is made up of hand-selected invites that traditionally go out to the previous year’s medalists and those with a history of success under ADCC rules. That usually means a handful of former champions but more importantly, the competitors who have impressive Trials runs that fall just short of winning often receive invites too. That means that these 8 tournaments are among the most important in the world for the next generation of stars, because it’s their opportunity to break through to the highest level. As is tradition, the first edition of in this current cycle will be the ADCC European, Middle-Eastern, and African Trials.
The ADCC European, Middle-Eastern, and African Trials 2025 will be taking place in Warsaw, Poland on September 6th, 2025. The tournament is open to anyone who holds a passport from those locations and registration is now open, giving competitors the chance to secure their place early. It won’t take long at all before the brackets start filling up and while there will definitely be some big names hitting the mats, it’ll always tough to predict who will sign up. Competitors in other continents will get their own chance soon enough too, as ADCC will be announcing the dates and location for the other Trials in 2025 too.
