The AIGA Champions League USA Qualifier 2024 has now been scheduled and both the dates and location for the tournament has been confirmed. The event will be taking place in Long Beach, California from October 18th to 20th, 2024 and the teams are no doubt starting to take shape as well. It’s a huge opportunity for anyone capable of bringing together a group of elite grapplers in different weight classes, as the team that wins this tournament earns a spot in the quarter-final rounds next year. That’s when things will really get kicked into high-gear, as the qualifying teams will battle it out for a million-dollar grand prize.

There have already been two different qualifying rounds for the upcoming season of the AIGA Champions League and both of them have been pretty definitive victories for the teams who won. Team Euro Trash won the European Qualifier first and only lost two matches out of a total of 20, racking up submission wins in the majority of their matches. Then Team Kasai won the South American Qualifier in even more impressive fashion, as they won every single match and beat all three of their opposing teams 7-0 with all but one of those wins coming by way of submission.

Whoever does end up winning the AIGA Champions League USA Qualifier 2024 will almost certainly have a harder time doing it than the two teams they could be meeting in the semi-finals though. The USA obviously has a huge amount of talent and many of the best Brazilian grapplers also move to the country to train and compete. With that in mind, there will likely be several teams emerging who stand a good chance of winning the tournament and there will almost certainly be some very close matchups. With so many amazing academies within traveling distance, it’ll be interesting to see which 8 teams enter the qualifying round.
