Combat Sports Coverage 30 is taking place on October 26th, 2024 and the promotion is bringing an excellent lineup for a team grappling tournament to Miami, Florida. The action will go down at Miami Brewing Company and there will plenty for grappling fans to enjoy, with the main attraction being the 3 vs 3 dual tournament. 4 teams of top competitors will be battling it out for a $1,000 cash prize and the team title, while the promotion will also be looking to crown three new champions in single matches. Before any of that takes place, there’s also a packed preliminary card with over 30 matches to build up to the main card.
The team representing X-Martial consists of three BJJ black belts; Felipe Porto, Enrique March, and Angelo Castille. Their first match will be against Black Tie BJJ; who will be represented by purple belts CJ Muxo and Trenton Spivey, and brown belt Eric Litke. The other side of the bracket features an even tougher matchup to kick things off, as team Komba features CSC team veteran Martin Corvetto alongside AJ Sousa and elite competitor Sebastian Serpa. They will be up against Quentin Rosenzweig, Sean McCleary, and Dylan Cameron; who will be representing Rashguard Soap. Once the winning teams have been determined, they’ll be meeting in the final to see who will walk away with the grand prize.
The main event of Combat Sports Coverage 30 isn’t actually the team tournament, as the promotion will also be crowning it’s first ever Combat Jiu-Jitsu champion. MMA veteran Leandro ‘Foguinho’ Soares will be facing who is currently the only man to do a CJJ match for CSC, Rough Houze Mumford. The co-main event will then have the 135lbs title on the line, as Mary McCleary will be taking on a huge challenge for her promotional debut by facing multiple-time ADCC Trials medalist Leilani Bernales. The final title-fight just before that is a Texas vs Florida teen matchup, as top prospects Shawn Estrada Jr and Jiovanny Figueredo will face one another.
There’s some fun matches booked for the preliminary card before that as well, including a number-one contender match at 135lbs. Former CSC champion and Invicta FC veteran Janaisa Morandin will be facing off against two-time tournament finalist and BJJ purple belt Makayla Aleman. The winner of this match will face off with the winner of McCleary and Bernales for the title, so it’s definitely going to be action-packed. 4-0 CSC veteran Yashira Millayes has a pair of matches on the card as well, and reigning ADCC Youth World Champion Anthony O’dell is one to keep an eye on whenever he competes.
