Subversiv 11 will serve as the promotion’s Combat Jiu-Jitsu Grand Championship and the event will take place on September 8th, 2024. It has been booked at the Hard Rock San Diego in San Diego, California and there will likely be plenty of fans in attendance. Their 11th event will be the culmination of an entire season’s worth of hard work for both the promotion team and the competitors who have stepped on the mats. There will be several belts on the line throughout the night, including the team Combat Jiu-Jitsu title, the light-heavyweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu title, and the women’s no gi title.
Although the specific competitors for the majority of the card are yet to be announced, there is one matchup that has been already confirmed. Team Phaze won the Combat Jiu-Jitsu Team tournament at Subversiv 10 and they will be returning once again to face off against Team Level for the team title. It wasn’t too surprising that they emerged victorious back then as Stephen Martinez and Alex Grandy represented the team alongside one of the most successful female no gi competitors in the sport right now; Alex Enriquez. With both Grandy and Enriquez being invited to ADCC 2024, it will be very tough for Team Level to beat them.
The other two title-fights for Subversiv 11: Combat Jiu-Jitsu Grand Championship have not yet been announced, but the promotion has a long history of booking great matches between elite grapplers. Keith Krikorian and Vagner Rocha are just two of the big names who have competed on the Subversiv mats in the past as an example. There will also be a series of superfights leading up to the three title-fights as well and they will feature plenty of top grapplers, MMA veterans, and wrestlers all meeting under Combat Jiu-Jitsu rules.
Subversiv announced the news that they were putting together a Combat Jiu-Jitsu Grand Championship for Subversiv 11 in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
