The Tower Grand Prix 4 is set to take place on May 6th, 2023 and the promotion has just announced an exciting addition to their brown belt tournament, Cole Abate. The exciting young Art of Jiu-Jitsu athlete has more attention on him than most coloured belts ever do, as he’s one of the most promising prospects in the sport. He’s almost always a favourite in any tournament he enters, but he’ll have some tough opposition this time around and anything can happen once the competitors step onto the mats.
The bracket has already been confirmed for the four-man tournament too, and Abate will be up against Zenith brown belt Armin Bruni in the opening round. Meanwhile, the other opening match will be contested between Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu’s Gabriel Cardoso and Dream Art product Marco Mendes. That promises to be just as much of an interesting matchup as Abate v Bruni and that makes two great matches to kick off the tournament, with both of the winners booking their place in the final against one another.
The promotion has also booked a fantastic match between Dante Leon and Vinicius Lino to serve as the main event for their fourth show, and it’ll be fun to see what happens once the two men meet on the mats. That isn’t all though, as the Tower Grand Prix 4 will also feature a great superfight between Jonnatas Gracie and Aaron Wilson that was rescheduled to this event. The promotion is relatively new to the game but has put together an interesting idea, as they hold their events outdoors in universities along the west coast. All in all, fans in attendance at UCLA in Los Angeles, California and those watching the live stream will be treated to a fantastic event starring several elite competitors.
The news that Cole Abate was joining the star-studded lineup for The Tower Grand Prix 4 on May 6th, 2023 was announced in a post to the promotion’s official Instagram account:
