The December 2025 update has been applied to the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings and the full standings can be found here. There were quite a few different high-level events taking place throughout November and changes in the rankings for almost every weight class as a result. The Abu Dhabi World Pro 2025 was the biggest factor in the gi divisions, as it attracted a number of top competitors from around the world. Then in no gi, it was the ADCC North American East Coast Trials 2025 that shook up the rankings. Outside of those two major tournaments, there was also a handful of professional shows throughout the month too.

Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings – November 2025 Update
Men’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 135lbs
Featherweight – Under 148lbs
Dorian Olivarez has advanced several places after ADCC Trials; where he won a gold medal and now breaks into the top five for the first time. There was another change later in the month too, as Meyram Maquine got a big win in a superfight at BJJ Stars 18 and is now 7th in this division.
Lightweight – Under 162lbs
Gabriel Sousa moves up just two places here after a submission win at ADXC 11, sitting in 6th place now.
Welterweight – Under 175lbs
Jacob Bornemann won his first major title at Trials and with it he breaks into the rankings at number fifteen.
Middleweight – Under 190lbs
There were no changes in the December 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 205lbs
The big news here is Rafael Lovato Jr getting the win at ONE 173 and breaking into yet another weight class, taking up position at number five. That wasn’t the only change though, as Jon ‘Thor’ Blank had an amazing run at Trials and he is the new number fifteen.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
The rankings shuffles a little as a competitor leaves due to inactivity, making room for Achilles Rocha to arrive at 15th after winning Trials.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
Yatan Bueno makes it into the no gi rankings for the first time after BJJ Stars 18, registering a big win over an ADCC medallist and coming in at 14th.

Jits Magazine Men’s Gi BJJ Rankings
Bantamweight – Under 137lbs
Featherweight – Under 154lbs
Lightweight – Under 169lbs
Jonnatas Gracie won the under 75kg tournament at ACBJJ 19 and he is ranked in the gi for the first time at number eight. Alex Sodre follows him at 9th after leaving the same tournament with a bronze medal, whole Naser Abdulkareem is in 10th.
Welterweight – Under 181lbs
Andy Murasaki moves up a single place in to 4th after winning The Crown this year and the only other change at welterweight comes outside the top ten. That’s thanks to one of the superfights at Majestic BJJ Challenge 6, where veteran competitor Leonardo Lara got the win and broke into the rankings at number twelve.
Middleweight – Under 194lbs
Shane Fishman is now number fourteen after the Abu Dhabi World Pro, while Pablo Custodia sits behind him at 15th.
Light-Heavyweight – Under 208lbs
Nolan Stuart delivered a huge upset at The Crown and is now the top-ranked light-heavyweight in the gi, while Pedro Machado also got a big win at ACBJJ 19 and he’s now 3rd. Matheus Vetoraci was the only other man to move up at this weight, entering the rankings at number seven after BJJ Stars.
Heavyweight – Under 225lbs
There were no changes in the December 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Super-Heavyweight – Over 225lbs
Gustavo Batista enjoyed a great run at The Crown that has seen him make it all the way up to 6th at super-heavyweight, while Francisco Papasidero is now 7th as a result of the same event. Alexander Sak also moves up one space into 14th and Dennis Souza is the new number fifteen after the Abu Dhabi World Pro.
Pound for Pound
Nolan Stuart is the new number eight after his rise to the top at light-heavyweight and the rest of the rankings have adjusted around him. Cole Abate is the only other newcomer, as he now sits at number twelve here.
Jits Magazine Women’s No Gi BJJ Rankings
Strawweight – Under 115lbs
Just one competitor moved up here, as a win at No Gi Euros saw Thais Loureiro gain one place and move into 8th.
Featherweight – Under 125lbs
There were no changes in the December 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Lightweight – Under 135lbs
Amanda Bruse has started to regain her previous position by moving up to 6th, while the spot just below her at 7th has been taken by Maria Claudia after both women had good performances at No Gi Euros.
Middleweight – Under 146lbs
There were no changes in the December 2025 update for this division of the Jits Magazine BJJ Rankings.
Heavyweight – Over 146lbs
Helena Crevar is back up to 9th at this weight after winning another title at Polaris 34, while no gi Euros had an impact just below her. Gabrieli Pessanha breaks into the no gi rankings at 13th and Salla Simola sits just behind her at 14th after both women won gold.

Jits Magazine Women’s Gi BJJ Rankings
Strawweight – Under 118lbs
Jessica Dantas got an impressive win at the IBJJF South American Championship 2025 and she returns to the top ten, sitting at 10th.
Featherweight – Under 129lbs
Lightweight – Under 141lbs
Sarah Galvao shot up the rankings after winning The Crown, and she’s now 4th in this division after beating several elite opponents there. Her teammate Lillian Marchand also moves up here after winning the Abu Dhabi World Pro and she is now number eleven, while Tamara Toros slots in behind her at 12th.
Middleweight – Under 163lbs
Sabatha Lais is the only one moving up at middleweight, occupying the 9th spot after the Abu Dhabi World Pro.
Heavyweight – Over 163lbs
The IBJJF South American Championship had a big effect here, as Marina Carraro breaks in to the edge of the top ten with her performance and the positions ahead of her change up too. Mariana Lira came away with the biggest improvement at 8th, while Giovanna Jara is just behind her at 9th.
