BJJ Connection Morocco is relatively new to the world of BJJ training camps but they’ve already managed to put together something special at Imsouane, Morocco. Their first camp was a resounding success, and now the second edition has been booked for October 20th to 26th, 2024. There’s set to be some really high-level instruction, with a total of 8 different classes split between gi and no gi taught by some of the best grapplers on the planet. There’s 2 open mat sessions during the week as well but Jiu-Jitsu isn’t the only attraction here as Imsouane is one of the world’s most popular surf spots.

Imsouane has both a beach break spot and a point break spot, La Cathedrale and La Bay respectively. Because surfing is such a huge part of the location, BJJ Connection Morocco also includes 3 surf sessions and full equipment rental (wetsuits and surfboards) for each one. The coach for the surf sessions is Abderrahim ‘Clappo’ Badaoui, one of the best instructors you could ask for with an intimate knowledge of the area. With surf tourism growing over the last few years in Imsouane and the World Cup coming to Morocco, the government has decided to demolish the original buildings of the small fishing village to make room for new luxury beach resorts. Now more than ever, the locals need as much support as they can get in order to preserve the original vibe of Imsouane.

BJJ Connection Morocco is an exclusive training camp with a relaxed vibe and that’s why Imsouane is the perfect location. The Jiu-Jitsu instruction will be headed up by several elite grapplers, all of whom will be conducting masterclasses on different topics over the course of the week. ADCC veterans Adam Wardzinski and Magid Hage are among the best competitors in the world in their respective weight classes and both of them will be on hand to provide high-level instruction. Alongside them will be top European competitor Leon Larman, Moroccan leglock expert Dex L’allemand, Kimura trap expert Samouel Krvavac, and one of the best coaches to specialise in wrestling for BJJ; Mircea Cublesan.

Even the Jiu-Jitsu sessions will take on the same vibe, with both beginners and advanced practitioners welcome. Everyone will be able to learn something new to take back to their regular training, and they couldn’t ask for a better setting to do it in. The sessions will take place on two 60m2 mats and they will be laid out on the beach as long as the weather allows, or indoors if needs be. Alongside the world-class instruction in a beautiful setting, there will also be a laundry service and excursions planned to different locations nearby. BJJ Connection Morocco is going to be an incredible experience, and the full package including accommodation is available from as little as €950.
