Bianca Basilio has just signed a contract with LFA and she will now be preparing to make her professional MMA debut with the promotion. She’s one of the most successful female BJJ competitors in the world, having won both the ADCC and IBJJF World Championship over the course of her career. Basilio has beaten many of the best grapplers in the world in both gi and no gi matches, and is known for being very well-rounded. She’s able to submit opponents from guard and attack the legs very well, but she also possesses excellent passing and a solid top game too.
Basilio also has a little bit of MMA experience already, although it’s only at the amateur level so far. her experience dates back to 2022, where she had a single fight against Shokhona Ghozoeva at MMA Supercup. Although both Basilio and Ghozoeva were new to the sport at the time, Basilio already had significantly more time on the mat competing in Jiu-Jitsu and that proved to be the difference in the end. It took Basilio less than 20 seconds to take the fight to the ground and she was in complete control when she got there; passing to mount and landing strikes with ease.
Basilio finished the fight not long after, locking up an armbar and securing the tap in just 63 seconds of total time in the cage. That represents the whole of Basilio’s competitive MMA experience so far and given that it was 3 years ago, she’s practically got a clean slate coming into her professional debut. The actual date and opponent she’ll be facing is still yet to be confirmed, but LFA will no doubt find her a suitable opponent at some point in 2026. From there Basilio is likely only a handful of wins away from a UFC contract, as she already has both a big name and existing accomplishments.
LFA announced the news that Bianca Basilio had signed a contract to make her professional MMA debut with them in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
