The ADCC Louisville Open 2025 took place on September 13th, 2025 and the event attracted several elite competitors, including a few who have even competed at ADCC before. Ryan Aitken was probably the biggest name in the tournament and he had a great run at under 91kg, winning gold after submitting three of his four opponents. The absolute champion, Enrico Beltran, even had to settle for a bronze medal next to him on the podium after going 7-1 across both brackets. The two heavier weight classes also featured some tough competition, as Abraham La Montagne and Lucas Montalvao each beat three opponents to win the under and over 100kg divisions respectively.

Another ADCC veteran was on the receiving end of a huge upset at under 70kg, as 18 year-old brown belt Tristan Sainz beat top Canadian contender Max Hanson by decision in the final. It was the biggest win of Sainz’s career so far and should be taken as a sign of big things to come from the young grappler. There was another great final at under 83kg too, as Nathan Haddad finished a 4-match winning run by beating Kevin Beuhring on points. Then in the lightest weight class at under 60kg, it was Christopher Tran who  ended up standing on top of the podium after three straight wins.

Despite how stacked the men’s divisions were, there weren’t too many veteran competitors in the women’s divisions. It was teenage prodigy Joslyn Molina who came away with double gold, winning both the under 70kg division and the absolute division with four wins in total. At the other end of the scale, there was also a notable result in the under 55kg weight class. Anabella Junco is another rising young star and she came away with a gold medal at that weight, even beating 10th Planet brown belt and UFC Fight Pass Invitational veteran Shye Lilly in the final.
