The ADCC Vancouver Open 2023 took place on August 19th, 2023 and the event featured some of the best grapplers from all across Canada in the results. Dan Manasoiu continued his incredible run of form on the ADCC Open circuit as he collected another pair of gold medals from the over 100kg division and the absolute division. He submitted almost every single person that stood across from him in either bracket and reconfirmed his place as one of the top contenders at his weight.
The under 91kg division saw some great matches too, with Aaron Tiegs defeating Corey Guitard in the final of the weight class. Maxim Cote put in a great performance to take gold in the under 83kg division and although the women’s weight classes weren’t particularly full, there was plenty of fun matchups there too. Both the over 70kg division and the absolute division actually featured the same match as the final, as Rebecca Faris and Amanda Loewen reached the end of both brackets. Faris managed to defeat Loewen in both matches, taking home double gold while Loewen left with a pair of silver medals.
