The ADCC US National Championship 2025 took place on August 9th, 2025 and the event attracted some serious talent vying for the chance to be the first US national champions. Helder Junior managed to take home double gold after winning both the over 100kg and absolute divisions, submitting all 6 of his opponents across both brackets. Paige Ivette had a similar achievement in the women’s divisions, as she won the over 80kg and absolute divisions with 5 submissions in her 6 matches. Although these were the two double champions, there were a few quite a few other winners who put in great performances in their weight classes too.

Veronika Gribenko and teenage prospect Joslyn Molina both clean-swept their divisions by submitting all 3 of their opponents, winning gold at under 60kg and under 70kg respectively. Only a handful of competitors had to run through bigger divisions; most notably Alex Vazquez and Placido Santos. They both had 4 matches and came away with 3 finishes, with Vazquez doing it at under 70kg and Santos doing it at under 91kg. Kaloni Brown and Cameron Hurd were the only other two champions who had to make it through 4 matches, Brown doing so in the women’s under 55kg division and Hurd in the men’s under 83kg division.

There were a few other big names competing elsewhere too, particularly at under 100kg where ADCC veteran Achilles Rocha beat 3 tough opponents on points to win gold. The women’s under 65kg division saw another familiar face winning, as Taylor Hishaw also put up 3 wins on points there. Veteran competitor Caleb Crump won his weight class with a pair of submissions in 3 matches at under 76kg, while Relter Lima submitted both of his opponents at under 55kg. Rounding out the US National champions was Isaac Cordova at under 65kg and one of the most frequent winners on the ADCC Open circuit, Kaimoni Operana, at under 60kg.
