The ADCC South American Championship 2025 took place on December 13th, 2025 and the promotion crowned the continent’s first champions. Building on the success of all the ADCC Open tournaments across Brazil and the surrounding countries in recent years, the promotion managed to ensure a pretty big turnout. Cecilia Bucarey came away with the biggest haul of medals from the women’s divisions, as she beat 3 opponents to win the intermediate over 70kg division before submitting all 3 of her opponents in the advanced absolute. Micaela Biblioni also has a standout performance at under 60kg, where she beat 2 opponents to take home the title.

Eduardo Andrade was the men’s absolute champion, beating 5 other talented grapplers to win that bracket. He went out in the first round of his own weight class at under 91kg though, dropping a decision to the eventual champion Ignacio Rodriguez. Rodriguez went 1-1 in the absolute though, just like the over 100kg champion Emiliano Simonelli too. Patricio Clavin won 3 matches to take the gold medal in between them at under 100kg, while 22 year-old purple belt Patricio Benitez achieved the same feat at under 65kg. The biggest brackets were in the middle weight classes though; as Nicolas Shiramizu, Carlos Romero, and Walter Alamo all had to win 4 matches for their titles at under 83kg, 76kg, and 70kg respectively.
