The ADCC European, Middle-Eastern, and African Trials 2025 took place on September 6th, 2025 and the results saw the first five invites being handed out to the male winners ready for ADCC 2026. There were no invites on the line for the female winners unfortunately, but there was still some elite competitors and great matches to see there too. Ana Mayordomo ran through the under 55kg division with 4 straight submission wins over some of the best in the world at her weight and Injana Goodman had a similarly impressive run at under 65kg, submitting 4 out of 5 opponents to win gold there. Jessika Torttila was the final female champion at over 65kg and although all 3 of her wins were on points, she didn’t concede a single point at the same time.
Most of the focus was on the men’s divisions though of course, as there was so much more on the line for them. Declan Moody and Mark Macqueen were the most predictable winners, and they will now compete at under and over 99kg respectively at ADCC. Macqueen had 4t matches and won 2 of them by submission, while Moody had a great run that included 2 dominant points wins and 4 submissions. Then there was a minor upset at under 88kg, as young Polish star Pawel Jaworski beat 6 opponents to earn the right to make his ADCC debut. Jaworski is known as an aggressive submission-hunter but he ended the day without a single finish, winning by points or decision instead.
The lightest two men’s weight classes were the ones with the biggest upsets, as not many people would have predicted the winners coming into the event. Magomed Dzharbaev won the under 77kg division with a few tight decisions, but he did finish 2 out of his 6 opponents as well. Then at under 66kg, the win went 17 year-old purple belt Niko Mikuliszyn after one of the toughest runs of the day. The Los Banditos competitor has been a top prospect for a while but he really broke in to the highest level here. He might have only got 2 submissions during his 7-match run but it was one of the most exciting to watch, as he beat several top competitors along the way.
