It’s fantastic news for all fans of the ADCC World Championships and all competitors looking to earn their way to the 2022 edition through the notoriously tough trials events. Now, the promotion has been able to give a first look at what the schedule for 2022 will look like with five events crammed into the build-up towards the eventual finals. This has been a necessity of course, thanks to the pandemic that forced the postponement of each of the trials and subsequent world championships by an entire year. Now it seems as though they’ve done some fantastic work to stick to the plans for 2022 and still put on the event that all grappling fans eagerly await.

This comes after the news that the location and dates for the first three trials events in 2021 have been set in stone and the promotion will be putting on all of them within a four month period at the end of this year. While the exact venue for each one is yet to be announced, the country and state that they’ll take place in and the dates themselves are as follows:

  • ADCC European, Middle-Eastern, and African Trials – Poland, September 18th
  • ADCC North American Trials – New Jersey, November 6th
  • ADCC Asian and Oceanian Trials – Singapore, December 11th

As fans will know, these events are not even half of the total number of ADCC trials events that will take place, but they’re the only ones that are set for 2021. With the ADCC World Championships 2022 set for September 17th and 18th, that still leaves nine months for the promotion to stage the second edition of each of these three trials, alongside both editions of the South American Trials. With no dates in place just yet, the locations have been tentatively announced as follows:

  • ADCC European, Middle-Eastern, and African Trials 2 – Moldova
  • ADCC North American Trials 2 – Southern California
  • ADCC Asian and Oceanian Trials 2 – Melbourne, Australia
  • ADCC South American Trials – Sao Paolo, Brazil
  • ADCC South American Trials 2 – Rio De Janeiro, Brazil or Florianopolis, Brazil

The news was announced in a post to the official Instagram account for ADCC:
