This article is part of our ADCC 2022 coverage. To get live results, play by play, and commentary, we’ll have a live updates article running all weekend.

The 2022 ADCC world championships are fast approaching and the event continues to break new ground, especially now that the first batch of tickets sold out within 24 hours of their release. While this would be impressive in any year, it is even moreso when taking into account that the event will take place in a bigger venue than ever before. The most recent edition in 2019 managed to attract a crowd of over 4,000 fans in attendance but this time around, ADCC head organizer Mo Jassim is aiming to bring in over 10,000 spectators for the biggest show in professional grappling competition.

Things looked promising for his lofty goals for ADCC 2022 well before the tickets were even released, as the first edition of the North American East Coast trials attracted a record-breaking 800 competitors who were eager to fight for one of five spots at the world championships. Even this was after the first trials event took place in Poland and saw hundreds of the best grapplers from across Europe, the Middle-East, and Africa battling it out to determine which five men would be earn their place in 2022. Each division is only 1/8th full and already fans will get to look forward to phenomenal talent like Polaris triple-champion Ashley Williams, Kade Ruotolo, and the 16 year-old prodigy Cole Abate.

The brains behind the 2022 ADCC world championships revealed that their would be five tiers of seats available and the tickets would be ranging in price as follows:

Purple VIP Courtside Seats ($200 – $400)
Black Courtside Seats ($150 – $250)
Red VIP Middle Seats ($100 – $200)
Green Plaza Seats ($80 – $150)
Yellow Balcony Seats ($40 – $70)

In other news, ADCC 2022 will also be the first event to feature NFTs as the promotion announced in a post to their official Instagram account that they would feature a booth at the world championships that will make all of the best posters, artwork, and photos available for purchase:
