The Abu Dhabi Grappling World Championship 2025 took place across August 1st and 3rd, 2025, and it attracted well over a thousand competitors from all around the world. Dozens of different countries were represented and the AJP Tour did a fantastic job producing their biggest no gi event of the year. A pair of Russian grapplers won the lightest men’s divisions, as Magomed Shakhbanov beat 4 opponents at under 65kg and Nikolai Vetrov beat 5 at under 75kg. It was top Polish leglocker Pawel Jaworski who won a very tough under 85kg division though, and he did so with 2 submission finishes out of 4 wins.

Australian ADCC veteran Roberto Frias won gold at under 95kg, beating Fellipe Andrew and 4 other opponents along the way. The heaviest weight class was won by Iranian beach wrestling expert Pouya Rahmani, who won 3 hard-fought decisions in a row. Then in the women’s weight classes; Anabel Lopez was the one with the biggest division in front of her and she won 4 matches to take gold at under 95kg. Olesia Zhuravleva was the final Russian champion in the adult professional divisions, and she beat 3 women to stand on top of the podium at under 65kg.
