The Northwest No Gi Summit 2025 is taking place on July 18th to 20th in Portland, Oregon and the lineup of instructors is very impressive. The training camp is limited to just 100 attendees and on top of three days of elite coaching, there’s also a friendly tournament taking place as well. That gives everyone a chance to test their newfound skills in a competitive environment immediately after working on them. There’s plenty of entertainment to be found off the mats too of course, with plenty of time for social events with the other attendees and the chance to explore the local sights.
The instructors themselves make it more than worthwhile of course, as there’s a great mixture of ADCC veterans and world-renowned coaches. Giancarlo Bodoni is the most accomplished competitor in the lineup and as a two-time ADCC world champion, there are very few people in the world with his level of skill. Perhaps the biggest name on the roster of instructors is Justin Flores though, one of the most well-rounded grappling coaches in the world. Not only is Flores a BJJ black belt but he’s also a veteran wrestler and Judo black belt, and he even coached the 2020 US Olympics team in Judo.
There’s plenty of other high-level experience on the mats at the Northwest No Gi Summit 2025 as well though, and teaching after Flores on the opening day is Ryan Aitken. Aitken is one of the top 10th Planet representatives in the world right now and he’s coming in fresh off some of the best performances of her career so far at ADCC 2024 and Season 7 of PGF. Then before Bodoni starts teaching on the second day, another veteran of the sport is going to be leading the class. That’s Gianni Grippo, a three-time IBJJF No Gi World Championship gold medalist who has been at the top of the sport for over a decade now.
The final day of the training camp is all 10th Planet, starting out with one of the earliest top competitors to emerge under the affiliation; Nathan Orchard. Orchard has competed for pretty much every major professional grappling promotion in the world and is known for creating The Dead Orchard. Closing out the show is Alan Sanchez, one of the most underrated competitors in Jiu-Jitsu today. He is the modern era king of the welterweight division at EBI with back-to-back titles there and he’s currently preparing to represent 10th Planet on the biggest stage, as their under 77kg competitor at the Craig Jones Invitational 2.
There’s going to be an incredible amount of knowledge in the room over that weekend and tickets are available for just $359 per person. They’re selling out fast though so if you’re interested in securing a place at the Northwest No Gi Summit 2025, click here to find out more.
