Pit Submission Series 13 is scheduled for February 13th, 2026 and the promotion has just announced a crazy main event match between Zion Clark and Valter Walker. It should be a pretty big night for several reasons; including the fact that it’s their first event in quite a while, as it’ll be 9 months since Pit Submission Series 12 took place by the time this event goes down. This probably isn’t going to be the only grappling match either, as the promotion usually books somewhere between two and four for each of their events. There’s no news on who will be supporting Clark vs Walker yet, but this match will likely attract most of the attention.
That’s because Clark is one of the most popular figures in the wrestling world, and this will be the very first professional grappling match that he’s ever competed in. Clark was born with a rare condition called Caudal Regression Syndrome that meant that he was born without legs. Clark took up a wrestling and despite going without a single win during his freshman and sophomore years in high school, he kept at it and increased his training load regardless. He then went 33-15 during his senior year in high school before going on to compete in both wrestling and wheelchair racing in college.
Clark then mace his professional MMA debut in 2022, winning by decision in his only appearance in the sport so far. Here he will be up against top heavyweight Valter Walker, who is 15-1 in MMA and 4-1 in the UFC so far. Walker already holds the record for most heel hook finishes in the UFC, as all 4 of his wins have come by that method. He obviously isn’t actually going to be able to use that skill against Clark of course, but Walker is still a fantastic grappler regardless. It’s going to be a very tough match for Clark, but he’s never been known to shy away from a challenge before.
Karate Combat announced the news that Zion Clark would be facing Valter Walker at Pit Submission Series 13 in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
