The ADCC Brasilia Open 2025 took place on October 4th, 2025 and several incredible teenage talents showed up to compete. Melqui Galvao brought his teenage squad as he always does for ADCC Opens around Brazil, but he wasn’t the only one. Matheus Galdino stepped up to the adult under 70kg division despite being just 17 years old and he put on the most impressive performance of the day. Galdino faced 4 talented brown and black belts and he submitted every single one of them to take gold. Doing that at any age is pretty rare but to do so as a teenage blue belt is genuinely remarkable.
It was the under 83kg and under 91kg divisions where Galvao’s competitors really shone, as they dominated both weight classes. 19 year old Vitor Pantoja won gold at under 83kg and did the same in the intermediate division, finishing the day with a 7-0 record and 3 submissions. His younger teammate Arthur Figueiredo competed in the same weight class and closed out the final with him, but he also won a gold medal at under 91kg and finished with the exact same record. Figueiredo even beat the event’s absolute champion, Franklin Oliveira, during his run at under 83kg.
