UFC BJJ 4 is scheduled for December 11th, 2025 and the promotion has just announced that their inaugural middleweight title will be on the line when William Tackett faces off against Ronaldo Junior. It’s a great matchup between two of the top middleweight grapplers in the world, and the promotion has started out strong with their first title-fight in the division. They’ve never crossed paths on the mats before either, so it’s one of just a handful of fresh matchups at the top of this weight class. Considering that most of the other top middleweights are signed to ONE Championship and Who’s Number One, it’s also one of the best matchups that UFC BJJ could make.

Junior will be getting a title-shot in his promotional debut, but he has plenty of experience from UFC Fight Pass Invitational previously. He went 4-0 against increasingly tough opponents and produced some excellent moments along the way, including a pair of anaconda choke finishes. Junior has also had excellent passing throughout his career and is known for playing perfect matches from a tactical perspective, so he will be a very tough opponent for Tackett to deal with. It’s just as much of a big opportunity for Tackett as it is for Junior of course, as he gets the chance to join his brother Andrew Tackett as a UFC BJJ champion.

The younger Tackett brother is the reigning welterweight champion and he was one of three champions crowned at their very first event, UFC BJJ 1, earlier this year. William Tackett didn’t get to compete alongside his brother at that point, but it didn’t take long for them to get together. He made his promotional debut at UFC BJJ 2 shortly before Andrew made his first title-defense, and he avenged one of a handful of submission losses in his career by beating Kyle Chambers. That brought his total record across UFC BJJ and UFC FPI to 2-0, so only one man will get to maintain his undefeated promotional record at UFC BJJ 4.

UFC BJJ announced the news that William Tackett and Ronaldo Junior would compete for the middleweight title at UFC BJJ 4 in a recent post to their official Instagram account:
