Dillon Danis and KSI just took part in a press conference ahead of their boxing match and it ended in a brawl when Danis was slapped with a pancake by his opponent. The moment happened after the two men had shared words and they stepped up for their staredown. Although it might seem like a very unusual chain of events, it seems like KSI was making a reference to two different things. Chris Eubank Jr made headlines for slapping Conor Benn with an egg during their recent staredown, and the press conference was taking place on Pancake Day in the UK.
Naturally Danis did not respond well to being hit with a pancake and he immediately launched at KSI, but several bodyguards stepped in to separate them. The two men have some bad blood between them already, as Danis withdrew from their first scheduled fight in 2023 on just a few days’ notice. They had already exchanged words back then and the fight falling apart at the last minute left a bad taste in KSI’s mouth. That’s why it was such a surprise when the fight was rebooked a little over two years later, as it had seemingly come out of nowhere.
Now that the fight is booked for Misfits Boxing 21 on March 29th, 2025, neither man is showing any signs of pulling out yet. Of course, just because the fight goes ahead doesn’t mean there will actually be very many punches thrown. Danis hardly three shots at all during his boxing debut against Logan Paul and that eventually ended in a disqualification loss for him when a brawl broke out. This will be Danis’ second boxing match and if it ends up looking similar to his first then it’s hard to imagine that he’ll continue getting offers, regardless of how well-known he might be in the combat sports world.
