UFC BJJ 3 took place on October 2nd, 2025 and two of the promotion’s titles were on the line for the very first time. The night started off quickly too, with the first four matches ending in a submission and half of them coming in the first round. Jalen Fonacier kicked things off with the quickest finish of the whole event, taking just over a minute to heel hook Pedro Nakano and start his campaign for a flyweight division with a big statement. Ana Mayordomo was up next against Shye Lilly and she was absolutely relentless in hunting the finish, switching between multiple different attacks before eventually finding the armbar towards the end of the first round.
One of the biggest highlights of the night came in the next match thanks to Andy Varela, as he hit Daniel Sathler with a beautiful a slide-by straight into a rear-naked choke for the finish in the second round. Andy Murasaki and Kris Olivo had a great match together next, but Murasaki was a step ahead for the majority of it and eventually got the submission with a kimura. There was a series of decisions after that but each of them had big implications on the landscape of no gi grappling, starting with Jansen Gomes beating Gustavo Batista in a battle between two elite gi specialists.
Cassia Moura then continued her unstoppable rise to the top of the flyweight division by showing off some great takedowns and passing to beat Alex Enriquez, and the final non-title match saw Samuel Nagai beat Kennedy Maciel thanks to the constant threat of a guillotine choke. That led into the co-main event and although Matheus Gabriel presented a very tough challenge, Carlos Henrique managed to win two out of three rounds to make his first lightweight title-defense. That meant it was time for the main event, where flyweight champion Mikey Musumeci was taking on Keven Carrasco. Musumeci made very short work of his opponent in the end, attacking the legs immediately and securing the Mikey lock for the finish in just 3 minutes.
