The ADCC Balneario Camboriu Open 2025 took place on April 19th, 2025 and there was several impressive performances coming from the Brazilian grapplers competing. The biggest name on the mats was Inacio Santos, and he beat both his opponents to win gold in the over 100kg division. There were a couple of other grapplers who stood out though, starting out with Joao Zeferino; who won the under 91kg division by submitting three out of his four opponents. Vitor Santile took things even further at under 83kg, as he had to get through five tough competitors and he managed to submit every single one of them.
Isaque Lima also stood out for a different reason, as the top teenage prospect training under Melqui Galvao stormed to victory at under 70kg and beat several black belts to win gold. 15 year-old Maria Cardoso did something similar at over 70kg, submitting both a brown and black belt to stand on top of the podium. It was Marcelo Marques who came away with the biggest haul of titles though, as he was the event’s double champion. What made it even more impressive is that he won the absolute despite competing at under 76kg, winning a total of 9 matches across both brackets.
