Famous actor Tom Hardy has been continuing along in his BJJ journey throughout 2023 and he’s just won yet another tournament in the UK. While he might be just one of many celebrities who have gotten involved in BJJ over the past few years, he’s undoubtedly the most active competitor out of all of them. The majority of celebrities training on the sport (and people in general really) will never step on the competition mats at all, but Hardy seems to enjoy doing it on a regular basis.

Hardy made headlines throughout 2022 when he started competing at blue belt on the local scene in the UK, winning several medals along the way. He’s been seeking out the best training partners and coaches during his preparation for these competitions too, including spending a little time training under John Danaher too. His dedication to the sport and time spent training under the best there is has clearly been paying off too, as he’s been winning gold medals on a regular basis. In fact, Tom Hardy has already been busy competing in BJJ tournaments in 2023 and added another gold medal to his collection earlier in the year.

Not only is Hardy an active competitor in BJJ but he’s also been using his unique position as a famous person to benefit the sport as well. He’s been working as an ambassador for the veteran’s BJJ charity Reorg and has even been wearing their branded gear in competition too. In fact, the tournament that Hardy just won was organized by Reorg themselves and it had divisions available for Para Jiu-Jitsu competitors as well. It’s always good to see famous faces getting involved in the sport in any way, but Hardy really goes above and beyond as a great representative for BJJ in the celebrity world.

The footage of Tom Hardy competing in and winning another BJJ tournament in 2023 was uploaded to the official Instagram account of Tom DeBlass:
