Third Coast Grappling owner Ryan McGuire has now taken on a new role within an entirely separate grappling promotion, Fight 2 Win. He will now serve as the organization’s matchmaker while their current one, CEO Seth Daniels, becomes increasingly busy with F2W’s increasing schedule in other states than Texas. In the last year or two, the promotion has been staging more and more shows in neighbouring states and travelling further afield than ever before. This would explain why Daniels is currently feeling stretched a little thin and is interested in getting some help on board.
Seeing as McGuire has been putting on shows for Third Coast Grappling for quite some time now and acted as matchmaker for over a dozen different events, he would no doubt be a great asset to the Fight 2 Win team. The news was announced by Seth Daniels in a post to his official Instagram account, where he made clear certain aspects of McGuire’s new role and what this would mean for both promotions moving forward.
As he clarified, McGuire’s new role for F2W will not effect his current work for 3CG and he is still running the promotion as he always has. F2W also has not purchased 3CG and has no plans to do so, or to co-promote events in the future. For all intents and purposes, the two promotions are still entirely separate organizations and McGuire just happens to play a role in both. Daniels also explained that despite the pair previously having some animosity between them, they’ve helped each other out a great deal over the course of the pandemic and have improved their relationship as a result, leading into the closer working partnership between the two men.
