Talita Alencar just got the first submission win of her UFC career against Ariane Carnelossi at UFC Vegas 110 on November 1st, 2025. She’s now riding a winning streak for the first time since joining the promotion, bouncing back after the first loss of her professional MMA career last year. She’s been in excellent form since then though and has proven why she was such an important signing for the UFC. She started 2025 off with the biggest win of her career over Vanessa Demopoulos, dominating the fight on the ground in every single round and running away with a unanimous decision. That brought her career record to 6-1-1 and allowed her to right the ship coming into this fight.
She was opening the show as the first fight of the night with Carnelossi and she had a similarly impressive performance. Alencar was even able to show off some of her striking too, wobbling Carnelossi on the feet in the second round and using it to set up a takedown. Alencar won both of the first two rounds and Carnelossi could see she was going to lose a decision, so she started to open up more in an attempt to make a comeback. That only allowed Alencar to score another takedown and use her elite grappling to take Carnelossi’s back, locking up the rear-naked choke for the finish.
