Subversiv: Fight Club 0 took place on November 22nd, 2024 and the promotion delivered some fun results with their new style of event. There was a great atmosphere thanks to the constant flow of music, even while the matches were still ongoing. Not only did it make the whole event feel more fun but it looked as though it gave the competitors the ability to relax as well. One man definitely didn’t relax though, as Felipe Makotoono hit the quickest finish of the night when he submitted Anthony Paredes with a toehold in just 20 seconds. Larry Stroud wasn’t far behind Makotoono though, as he submitted with Rafael Barbosa in a little under a minute.
One of the most unique finishes of the night came a little earlier though, as Stephen Martinez dropped down on the ‘dogbar’ variation of a kneebar with a ton of pressure to get his win. Chase Cichos won a decision over Noah Tillis in the no gi main event, leading the fans directly into the Combat Jiu-Jitsu main event immediately afterward. It was a tough match that ended in dramatic fashion, as Jordan Wirth worked his way to rubber guard and submitted Javier Garcia with a rare gogo clinch finish despite taking a few shots up until that point.
