Submission Hunter Pro 98 took place on July 25th, 2025 and the event included some entertaining matches. The promotion has been racing towards their 100th event with some great cards lately, and this latest one was no exception. Dylan Melton kicked the main card off with a beautiful submission win in his match with Carlos Diaz; locking up a triangle choke and switching to a brutal kimura for the finish. Henrique Camargo also stood out much later on in the night when he finished his match in less than 90 seconds, as he sat back on an ankle-lock that only got tighter when Ruben Alaniz tried to turn away.
Mona Bailey got the crowd back on their feet in the very next match, as she submitted Nattie Boss with an Aoki Lock when there was just 18 seconds left on the clock. That was the last finish of the night, but the co-main event between Nonso Ebede and Felipe Rocha was entertaining regardless. Ebede scored a back-take in the last few minutes that sealed the deal, earning him the decision win. The main event was another decision, as Mike Torres and Pedro Araujo battled it out across three rounds for the promotion’s no gi heavyweight title. They both had moments of success but Araujo got the nod from the judges and left with the belt around his waist.
