Submission Hunter Pro 95 took place on January 19th, 2025 and the results saw one man walking away with a $5,000 grand prize. The promotion put together an excellent under 160 lbs grand prix and two men in particular stood out, making their way to the final to face one another. They also staged several fun superfights in between rounds of the tournament, starting with some incredibly talented brown belts. Sebastian Oyervidez headlined that portion of the card, submitting his opponent with a slick heel hook to get the win. There were also three black belt superfights too, with veteran Lauren Murphy securing her victory with a rear-naked choke and Joe Murphy winning the main event by decision.
The tournament was the main attraction of course and one side of the bracket saw the young New Wave Jiu-Jitsu blue belt Landon Elmore putting on an excellent performance. He submitted both of his more experienced opponents in order to make it to the final, where he met the early favorite. Carlos Henrique was the man standing opposite him in the final, and he also won both of his earlier matches by submission. Elmore and Henrique put on the closest match of the entire bracket in the final, and it was the only match that didn’t end in submission. It went all the way to the end of overtime but Henrique was able to score two advantages in order to win the tournament.
