Submission Hunter Pro 87 took place on October 15th, 2023 and the grapplers competing on the main card delivered some fantastic results for the fans. There was action in every match from the purple belts opening up the card all the way up to the veteran black belt competitors who closed the show. The main event was a battle between two incredibly experienced competitors in Bruno Bastos and Ricardo Evangelista, but it was Evangelista who came away with the win by referee decision. That was only one of the few matches that didn’t end in a finish though, as most of them ended in a submission
Josh Leonard delivered the fastest finish of the night, submitting Dominic Bailey after just a little over 30 seconds of action in that brown belt match. Another memorable moment came from Anthony Narvaez, who submitted his opponent with an arm-triangle choke using just one arm and some immense pressure. A pair of brothers took to the mats just before the main event, as Damion and Austin Oranday competed immediately after one another. They experienced mixed results though, with Damion winning by submission and Austin losing a decision to Michael Esquivel.
