Pit Submission Series 11 is scheduled for January 24th, 2025 and the promotion has put together three excellent matches for the card. There’s one veteran returning but the other five competitors will be stepping into the pit for the very first time in their respective careers. That veteran is Daniel Sathler and he actually produced what might be the most memorable finish in the promotion’s history in his debut, submitting Matheus Costs with a flying triangle armbar at Pit Submissin Series 8. He’ll be facing another tough challenge in his second appearance in the pit, but this time in the form of a former UFC fighter. Sathler will up against Herbert Burns, the younger brother of BJJ legend and top UFC contender Gilbert Burns.
The next match on the card is between two of the best BJJ competitors in the world at their weight class, Fabricio Andrey and Samuel Nagai. They’ve actually met on the mats several times in the past and Nagai currently leads the series 2-1, so Andrey will be eager to pull level ans it’ll be interesting to see what effect the change of ruleset has. The final match on the card is the main event and it features a man who was originally going to make his debut back at PSS 3. Two-time PFL world champion and four-time NCAA Division I All-American Lance Palmer will finally make his first appearance and the pit, and he has a very difficult welcome party. Palmer will face freestyle wrestling world champion and undefeated MMA veteran Richie Lewis in a match that is sure to involve a lot of standing action.
