The ADCC New Jersey Open 2025 took place on October 11th, 2025 and some of the best grapplers in the US were in attendance either competing or coaching. There were two competitors in the men’s divisions who stood out thanks to having great runs in more than one division. Helder Junior earned the highest honour as the double champion, submitting all 5 of his opponents in both the over 100kg and absolute divisions. Zack Ghalayini also took home a medal from the absolute after winning his weight class at under 83kg, but he even finished third at under 91kg too. With an 8-2 record and every win a submission finish, he left with a gold medal and a pair of bronzes.

Top young prospect Joslyn Molina was the female double champion; going 5-0 with 3 submission finishes across the under 80kg and absolute divisions. The women’s divisions didn’t feature as many top contenders as the men’s did, but Nicole Mathew did have a great pair of submissions to win gold at under 65kg. Back in the men’s weight classes, Abraham La Montagne worked his magic at under 100kg to beat two opponents and take another ADCC Open gold. The most stacked weight class in the whole event was in the men’s under 70kg division though, and it was 18 year-old brown belt Tristan Sainz who came out on top there.
