The Ruotolo brothers have just decided to get some high level Muay Thai training in while they’re in Asia, stopping off at the legendary Superbon Training Camp in Bangkok, Thailand. This is far from the first time that the elite grapplers have spent some time sharpening up their striking skills and from the footage that’s emerged, it seems as though they’ve already got some ability. They’ve been clear about their intention to eventually transition to professional MMA in the past, so it stands to reason that they’d need to work on their striking before they do so.
While Kade Ruotolo has definitely been the more vocal of the siblings on making the move to MMA, it’s not as if Tye Ruotolo has been silent on the idea either. Even if they end up operating on different timelines or making slightly different decisions, the Ruotolo brothers have done pretty much everything together in their combat sports career. The brothers signed their first contract with ONE Championship together and they have even been preparing for the future together too, by building their own gym in Costa Rica.
Between the two of them they have managed to win world championship titles in every major promotion like the IBJJF, ADCC, and ONE Championship; all while putting on some of the most exciting matches in the sport. If their past performances in professional grappling are anything to go by then their MMA careers will be among the most thrilling in the sport. That’s why there will undoubtedly be a lot of attention on them when they do eventually make the transition to MMA, as either one of them is likely capable of winning an MMA title in ONE Championship as well.
