Another member of the Gracie family has tested their Jiu-Jitsu skills in MMA, as Reylan Gracie decided to make his professional MMA debut at LFA 204 on March 22nd, 2025. It’s something of a right of passage for members of the most famous family in Jiu-Jitsu, with most of them having at least a few fights during their combat sports careers. It all stems from the early days of Vale Tudo, when every member of the family would have fights pretty regularly. Then Royce Gracie had a historic run at UFC 1 and continued to dominate the early days of professional MMA, but the family’s success in the sport since then has been mixed.

The modern generation of Gracies have had mixed results in MMA, with their most successful representatives being Kron Gracie and Neiman Gracie. They both won fights in the biggest MMA promotions in the world, but Kron has struggled to break into the UFC rankings and Neiman fell just short of a Bellator title. Reylan comes from a different branch of the family, as he is Kron’s cousin and only distantly related to Neiman. He is one of Rorion Gracie’s sons and is following in the footsteps of his older brother Ralek Gracie  by embarking on a professional MMA career.

It’s surprising that Reylan Gracie would have made his MMA debut at LFA 204 seeing as he’s already 35 years old and doesn’t have either an extensive BJJ career or an amateur MMA record behind him. He was up against Quentin Pasley, who was coming off a first-round knockout in his own debut. Pasley immediately started pressuring forward and although Reylan landed a few strikes, they didn’t have much effect. Pasley started to land some strikes of his own at around the minute-mark and Reylan desperately shot in for a takedown. Pasley stuffed it and continued landing strikes, throwing a flying knee when Reylan backed up and following it up with a punch that floored him. Reylan covered up and the referee waved off the fight, with Pasley getting the finish after a total of 91 seconds.

The full LFA 204 event replay, including Reylan Gracie getting knocked out in his MMA debut, is available to watch on UFC Fight Pass and the full fight can be found below:
