Renato Canuto has just had his third professional MMA fight at Tuff-N-Uff 151 on January 22nd, 2026 and he’s continued his fantastic form. Canuto has been competing on the regional MMA circuit for less than a year and he’s already managed to rack up three exciting finishes. He’s been with Tuff-N-Uff the entire time too, starting with his debut in 2025 that he finished in under a minute. He wasted no time at all and was back in action just 5 months later for his sophomore effort, a fight that was equally impressive as it was another TKO finish inside the first minute of the fight.
Now just 3 months after that Canuto has stepped back in the cage and although he spent a little longer in it, he registered yet another first-round finish. It was actually the first submission win of his career too; a pretty surprising fact given that Canuto comes from an elite Jiu-Jitsu background. He’s even remained very active in the professional grappling world at the same time as pursuing his MMA career too, taking matches in between each of his fights. Most recently Canuto was seen beating Alan Sanchez by decision at UFC BJJ 4, and that event took place just 5 weeks ago.
In this fight Canuto was facing his most experienced opponent yet, as Luciano Ramos had already had 25 fights prior to this. Canuto took the fight to the ground fairly early and was immediately dominant when he got there; maintaining top control and raining down shots at the same time. It looked as though he was searching for another TKO finish at first but he switched to S-mount and kept up the strikes, forcing Ramos to defend and expose his arm in the process. Canuto stepped over his head and extended the arm for a very tight armbar while he was still on top, forcing Ramos to tap quickly.
