Polaris have just announced a brand new partnership with FX1, the pioneering sports analytics technology company that makes use of state-of-the-art AI (Artificial Intelligence). It’s a huge move that has never been done in the Jiu-Jitsu world before, and it’s expected to be an incredible addition to the promotion’s live broadcast. The idea is for FX1 to use their technology to provide real-time data, allowing fans to get a level of insight that they never have before. Those performance metrics should make it significantly easier to determine who is winning a relatively close match, but the usefulness of the technology doesn’t end there.
Takedowns and submission attempts will be tracked in real-time to provide accurate success-rates, pressure will be a measurable statistic, and control-time will be available as well. This deep level of analysis will then be combined to generate AI fight predictions for Polaris matches, a truly game-changing idea.
Roy Billington, the Head of Partnerships at Polaris, had this to say:
“FX1’s technology signals a turning point in how viewers and businesses can interact with live sports, and we are proud to work alongside a forward-thinking company. FX1 will allow us to take Polaris to the cutting edge of sports data, offering our fans and stakeholders insights like never before.”
FX1 founder and CEO Damien Dau also shared a comment on the new partnership and he was clearly excited about their future together:
”We are thrilled to partner with Polaris as their official analytics partner. Polaris has built an incredible product, and FX1 is here to help elevate it further. Together, we’ll redefine fan engagement with real-time insights and immersive experiences, positioning Polaris as a global leader in combat sports innovation.”
