Polaris 33 took place on September 13th, 2025 and the results would see either South America or Asia & Oceania secure their place in the final of the Polaris Squads Intercontinental Championship later this year. Both teams already knew their prospective opponents too, as Team Europe beat North America in the other semi-final at Polaris 31. There was also a title on the line in a superfight during the half-time break, as the promotion was crowning a new middleweight champion. Owen Livesey put on an excellent performance against Tommy Langaker in that match, eventually getting the submission with an arm-triangle choke to win the vacant belt.

Asia & Oceania immediately ran away with the Squads match, as Lucas Kanard rattled off three decision wins to give them a comfortable lead. He also returned to win another decision in the second half and became their most successful competitor. Kenta Iwamoto was their other big factor, as he won three matches over the course of the night and put a stop to South America’s biggest run with a kneebar in the dying seconds of his final match. Igor Tanabe and Mohammed Avtarhanov both made a big contribution to the team score too, as they each won two matches with one by submission to earn extra points.

Hejraat Rashid was the only other Asia & Oceania Squad member to get a win, and his submission was still an important part of getting their score to an impressive 16 points. South America were never actually in the lead but Gabriel Sousa went on an incredible run that brought them level for the first time when the second half began. He submitted two opponents and beat one by decision to score 6 points all on his own, while Charles Negromonte was the other major player with 4 points from two decisions and a submission win. They put up two-thirds of the team’s points on their own, while Jean Maltese, Jorge Gabriel, Romao Carvalho, and Samuel Nagai all got one win each and they fell just short with 15 points in total.
